About TubeTraveler

What is TubeTraveler?

TubeTraveler curates public YouTube live streams from around the world into one place, so you can explore cities, nature, landmarks and beaches — live, from anywhere. Right now that means 286 live cams across 35 countries, and both numbers keep growing as we add more streams.

There's no sign-up. The Service is completely free to use, and is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) rather than subscriptions or paywalls.

How we curate cams

We don't just embed a list of videos. TubeTraveler adds a layer of organization and context on top of the raw streams:

  • Cams are sorted into categories — city view, nature, beach, mountain, landmark, temple, port/airport, and street market — and organized by country and city.
  • An interactive live map lets you browse by location instead of scrolling a flat list.
  • Each cam page shows the local time, weather, and sunrise/sunset times for that exact spot.
  • Our Happening Now page surfaces cams that are at sunrise, golden hour, sunset, or blue hour right now, based on real-time sun position.
  • Ambient TV mode turns a set of cams into a slow, auto-rotating wall for background viewing.
  • Seasonal and thematic collections — typhoon watch, volcano cams, New Year countdowns by city — group cams around a moment or event.
  • A monitoring job checks every stream on a schedule and automatically hides ones that have gone offline, so you don't land on a dead link.

About the videos & copyright

Every video on TubeTraveler is played through YouTube's official embed player (youtube-nocookie.com) — we don't host, re-stream, or download any video ourselves. All rights to the video, and all responsibility for what's broadcast, belong to the original YouTube channel that operates the stream.

Every cam page links back to the original YouTube channel so you can find and support the broadcaster directly. If you're a broadcaster and believe your stream shouldn't be listed here, or you've spotted any other copyright issue, please get in touch and we'll take care of it.

Who runs TubeTraveler

TubeTraveler is an independent, one-person project — no company, no team, just the maker, based in South Korea.

It started from a simple frustration: live streams of cities and landscapes I wanted to check in on were scattered across YouTube with no good way to browse them by place. I like to travel, and I wanted a map I could open and just look at somewhere else in the world for a minute. TubeTraveler is that map.
